Because it is not possible to manufacture pipe-hose-pipe combinations with conventional pipe bending machines, Rosenberger AG looked for a more fl exible bending system that time would offer highest precision and processing safety at the same time as extraordinary operating comfort. It became the fi rst company in the world to develop a robotic pipe bending system with a servo-electric drive – the TWISTER®.

Robot Bending System In this case, the robot acts as fully automatic CNC controlled pipe bending machine and, depending on instruction, activates two to six bending heads that are designed for pipe diameters of 20 to 60 millimetres. The highly productive CNC controlled pipe bending machine is capable of carrying out several bending functions. State-of-the-art controls are characterised by high levels of comfort for the operator. They also make it possible to execute complex bending operations. The current generation of controls are based on stateof- the-art machines software specifi cally designed for CNC controlled pipe bending machines. The operator works with a high resolution display and user-friendly touchscreen mode. With their servo-motor bending drive, the machines are very cost- and energy-effi cient at very low emissions.
